The Panhandle Pioneer Settlement will host Keepers of the Old Ways, a two-day event in Blountstown, Florida, January 28-29, 2022.

The Settlement is a living history museum that teaches and demonstrates how life was in the old days. This event was put together with that in mind, and is packed with vendors, demonstrators, and classes. Keepers of the Old Ways is focused on teaching the community how to live a simpler, more self-sustainable life, and give you the skills to be prepared for any kind of disaster - man-made or natural.

Classes like Florida Survival Gardening, How to Build a Food Forest, Foraging for Wild Medicinal Herbs, Soap Making, Rabbits - from hutch to table, Backyard Homesteading 101, Campfire Cooking (wood, gas, solar), Horse/Mule Plowing Lessons, and Farrier Skills just to name a few! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Volunteers are needed to help with the concession stand Friday, Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon; store clerk Friday, Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon; parking Friday.
